99% of the staff were absolutely outstanding! Lorna, outstanding, Ricky, legend. Natalie and the young lass behind the bar (sorry I’ve forgotten her name! - spoke to me about Kylie performing and staying next door!) excellent. I’m fairly certain the GM also recognised us from last year - with the hilarious turn back and “hello!” - which considering the amount of custom they will get, was very nice! The room was lovely, could do with perhaps a little better lighting in the main room, but the bathroom was epic, separate shower/bath - and taps that are so powerful I’ve never seen a tap so strong! Bath took mere minutes to fill! A lot of comments about the noise in the local area on other reviews… with all due respect, you’re literally in the city centre - nightlife galore all around you… if you want quiet then perhaps this isn’t for you, but if you’re looking for a comfortable night and happy to have a slight noise outside (again, central city!!) then stay here.

The staff were very attentive, welcoming and helpful. Upon check in they were even kind enough to show me to my room. When I made a large order at the bar to take back to the room, rather than make two trips a very kind lady brought the rest of my order up for me. We had an issue at check in (IT issues) but we were able to leave our bags, enjoy a quiet drink in the bar area and then told when we were able to check in. The rooms were clean, and the location was perfect. The bar area had loads of areas to charge your phone / laptop should you need it. I thought the value for money was excellent.. I have stayed at a few ‘top hotels’ but why pay an absolute fortune when you can stay somewhere like the Townhouse which is in an ideal location, has a huge bar area, very kind and attentive staff as well as clean and modern rooms? I would stay here again for sure.

Loved our stay here. We booked a family room (2 double beds in one room) but when we arrived we had been upgraded to 2 full size rooms (313 and 314) with an interconnecting door. This was because apparently Booking.com overbook rooms so the hotel has to try and accommodate everyone! Both rooms were lovely and tucked away in a corner so no one passing by. Huge beds and a lovely bathroom with both bath and shower. Our booking included breakfast which was really nice and plenty of choice. The hotel is in a good location. It’s about 10 minutes walk from Manchester Piccadilly station and 15 minutes to a lot of the main shops and restaurants. We caught the tram to the Trafford Centre and the tram stop was so only about 15 minutes walk. Highly recommend staying here.

The hotel was centrally located right next to Manchester’s Canal Street and the heart of the city! The hotel was very well presented with very polite staff. The room was an executive king size with an immaculate and large bathroom, complete with separate shower, bath, dispensable body and hand gels. Two bathrobes and an iron and ironing board were also available in the room along with hangars in a storage closet. The room size was very large for a city centre room, with a decent compliment of tea, coffee and two mini biscuits. The bed was very large, definitely larger than a normal king and was exceptionally comfortable.

The staff are so welcoming at reception (Philip), and I didn't get the girls name. We paid extra for early check-in, which was great as we had early flight that morning. Reason for our stay: My daughters going to see Coldplay in concert, I wasn't attending. I felt so comfortable at the hotel on my own, and Philip couldn't do enough giving us information on what we asked. The beds are so comfortable and pillows as well. The hotel is so central walking distance to everything, I would definitely recommend it 👌
